Tensions in the Gulf region soared early Tuesday as Iran launched drone attacks on Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. The escalation follows US President Donald Trump's conflicting remarks regarding the conflict's duration, adding ambiguity to an already volatile situation.

The Saudi Defence Ministry confirmed the destruction of drones over its oil-rich eastern region, and Kuwaiti National Guard reported successful interceptions in northern and southern parts of the country. In a social media post, Trump threatened increased US military actions if the Strait of Hormuz's closure was attempted by Iran.

Meanwhile, Iraq denounced an airstrike on a camp housing Iranian-backed groups, and Israel revealed it continued its military operations against Hezbollah's financial network in Lebanon, amid persistent regional instability and security challenges.
