Parliamentary Deadlock: No-Confidence Motion Stalled Amid Chaos

As the session resumed in the afternoon, opposition MPs persisted with their sloganeering, drawing criticism from the government and the Chair. Jagadambika Pal, overseeing the proceedings, insisted that decorum be maintained to allow the House to focus on the no-confidence motion against Birla, which was already on the agenda.

Pal accused the opposition of pursuing a political agenda and wasting taxpayer money estimated at Rs 9 crore per day by disrupting proceedings and holding the House 'hostage.' Despite the government's readiness to discuss the motion, the stand-off continued, with Birla not presiding until the issue was resolved.
