The BJP Scheduled Tribe Morcha initiated protests against the TMC government in West Bengal and burned effigies of CM Mamata Banerjee across Jharkhand's 24 districts. The protests were ignited by allegations of insult against President Droupadi Murmu.
BJP ST Morcha national president Sameer Oraon described the treatment toward the President as both shameful and regrettable. This sentiment arose following President Murmu's displeasure over the venue change of a tribal conference in Siliguri and CM Banerjee's absence during her visit.
While the BJP accuses TMC of disrespect and demands an apology, Banerjee claims no protocol breach occurred, redirecting any mismanagement blame towards private organizers and venue providers.
