The Congress party staged a protest in Madhya Pradesh, accusing the BJP-led state government of making 'false' and 'hollow' promises. Leader of the Opposition Umang Singhar spearheaded the demonstration, using the metaphor 'khayali pulao' to describe the government’s empty assurances.
Singhar criticized the BJP for not fulfilling job announcements, leaving many youth unemployed. He also highlighted broken promises such as the Rs 3,000 monthly aid under the Ladli Behna scheme and claimed that the state's healthcare and education sectors are in decline.
Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath joined the dissent, criticizing the state’s financial mismanagement, citing a debt of Rs 5 lakh crore and substantial loan interests. The Congress vows to continue advocating for public issues and rights.
