Controversy Erupts Over Political Influence at Anti-Drug Event in Punjab

Controversy has erupted in Punjab as Senior Congress leader Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa challenged the presence of high-ranking officials at an anti-drug event held by the AAP government. Randhawa questioned the participation of the state's chief secretary and DGP, alleging their involvement raised legal and constitutional concerns.

The event in Moga, attended by prominent figures including AAP's Arvind Kejriwal and other senior party leaders, has been criticized for its apparent political undertones. Randhawa pointed out that the use of party flags and partisan slogans blurred the lines between a government initiative and a political rally.

Randhawa has called for an investigation to determine whether the officials' presence adhered to the All India Services (Conduct) Rules. He stressed the importance of maintaining the distinction between political platforms and the civil service to uphold the credibility of the administrative machinery.
