Akhilesh Yadav Criticizes EC-BJP Collusion in Electoral Roll Controversy

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav has alleged collusion between the Election Commission and the BJP, claiming the two entities are jointly orchestrating the deletion of votes from crucial demographic groups, notably Muslim and Samajwadi Party supporters, ahead of elections.

Addressing the press, Yadav highlighted the suspicious filing of large numbers of Form 7 applications, which seek the deletion of names from electoral rolls, by what he termed as 'unknown persons.' These actions, according to Yadav, disproportionately affected votes considered vital for his party.

Despite numerous complaints to district authorities and the Election Commission, Yadav lamented the lack of intervention, suggesting a coordinated effort between governmental and election bodies. Additionally, he criticized a recent US-India trade deal for its potential negative impact on Indian farmers.
