In a decisive victory, the Congress Party clinched 39.8% of votes in the recent elections held across 116 municipalities and seven municipal corporations in Telangana, as reported by the State Election Commission on Saturday.

This triumph further solidifies the standing of the A Revanth Reddy-led government, following a robust electoral contest that saw the main opposition, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), securing 28.7% of the vote share, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) captured 15.6%.

Leading the tally with independent candidates and minor parties such as AIMIM, AIFB, CPI, and CPI(M), these groups collectively received a smaller segment of the vote share. The Jana Sena Party managed a modest 0.3%, as the Congress's strategic electoral approach delivered them 1,347 out of 2,582 available wards.
