Shiv Sena (UBT) has criticized the BJP's opposition to the election of Syed Iqbal, a Muslim, as mayor of Parbhani, accusing it of mental bankruptcy.
In its mouthpiece Saamana, Shiv Sena (UBT) highlighted BJP's inconsistency as actor Salman Khan's interactions with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat go unquestioned, while a Marathi-speaking Muslim mayor evokes protest.
The party denounced BJP for inciting Hindu-Muslim tensions, pointing to global Hindu safety and historical Muslim leaders in BJP, challenging its current stance.
