Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy, during a Saturday press briefing, dismissed rumors surrounding confusion within the BJP-JD(S) alliance. He asserted that both parties are clear in their objectives and have prioritized removing what he described as a corrupt government, rather than discussing future leadership roles.
Speaking after a preparatory meeting for the Greater Bengaluru Authority elections, Kumaraswamy emphasized the importance of strengthening the alliance to face upcoming elections. He compared premature discussions about the chief minister position to 'stitching the cradle before the baby is born.'
Kumaraswamy reiterated that the alliance is united and focused on establishing a pro-people government, despite internal discussions being natural. The parties have not yet had specific talks regarding local body or GBA elections, but preparations are underway.
