Economic Boost and Educational Leap: PM Modi's Ambitious Visit to Assam

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is gearing up for a significant one-day visit to Assam, set to occur on Saturday, during which he will unveil a series of impactful projects valued at Rs 5,450 crore. Among the highlights are the inauguration of an Emergency Landing Facility in Moran and the establishment of IIM Guwahati. This marks Modi's third visit to the state in three months, a reflection of the region's growing importance ahead of its impending assembly elections.

One of the primary features of the visit is the launch of Moran's Emergency Landing Facility. Described as the first of its kind in the Northeast, this development promises to enhance emergency response capabilities in the region. In tandem, the Prime Minister will oversee the commencement of multiple projects, including the Kumar Bhaskar Varma Setu across the Brahmaputra River at Lachit Ghat in Guwahati, a National Data Centre, and the rollout of 225 electric buses under the PM-eBus Sewa Scheme.

The visit will further see Modi addressing BJP workers in Guwahati, underscoring the achievements of the BJP-NDA alliance in realising the aspirations of the Assamese people. Officials, including Assam Chief Secretary Ravi Kota and DGP Harmeet Singh, have meticulously orchestrated preparations for the Prime Minister's visit, emphasizing security, logistics, and coordination. Modi will also witness an aerial display before concluding his visit with a mass meeting to bolster local party cadres ahead of the polls.
