Clash Over Voter List Revision Sparks Tension in West Bengal

In a fresh wave of political tension in West Bengal, BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari has accused the TMC of orchestrated chaos at a voter list revision hearing in North 24 Parganas district. Adhikari charged the state government with a deliberate lapse in law enforcement at the event.
According to Adhikari, Trinamool Congress supporters disrupted proceedings at the Baduria block office, similar to previous disturbances in Farakka and Chakulia. The BJP leader shared a video on social media, alleging that officials were intimidated by angry mobs, although the video's authenticity remains unverified.
Responding to these allegations, TMC spokesperson Debangshu Bhattacharya dismissed any misconduct by party members, instead attributing the unrest to citizens' frustration with bureaucratic inefficiencies and BJP's moves against legitimate voters.
