Minister Refutes Foreign Report on Air India Crash Investigation

Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Murlidhar Mohol, has refuted claims from a foreign media outlet regarding the probe into the Air India AI171 crash, reaffirming that investigations are still ongoing.

Mohol questioned the credibility of foreign reports, advocating for trust in Indian investigation agencies. He emphasized that comments should only be made following the completion of the report.

An Italian newspaper had alleged pilot error as a cause for the crash, but the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) confirmed that no official conclusions have been reached. The tragic accident, which occurred on June 12, 2025, near Ahmedabad, claimed the lives of 260 people, including 241 passengers.
