The Congress party criticized the Indian government on Monday, following a statement from the US ambassador to New Delhi. The ambassador confirmed that President Donald Trump had a conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In a social media post, US Ambassador Segio Gor stated that the conversation took place, highlighting that India often learns of its government's moves through Trump or his appointees.
The conversation coincided with Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar's visit to Washington, amidst attempts to strengthen bilateral ties and finalize a trade deal.
