Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma conducted a visit to forward areas near the Sino-Indian border in Ladakh, evaluating both operational capacity and defense preparedness, according to officials.
In a demonstration of their readiness, Lt Gen Sharma observed 'Exercise AstraShakti' amid the extreme conditions of Ladakh's high-altitude terrain on Thursday, showcasing the Northern Command's innovation and tenacity, officials confirmed.
Stationed at the forward posts of the Tangtse sector, Lt Gen Sharma assessed the current security posture, commended the troops’ commitment to high standards, and praised their professionalism in the prevailing harsh environment, officials added.
