Modi urged a decisive battle against infiltrators threatening national unity, highlighting the government's ongoing efforts to eradicate Naxalism and Maoism. He condemned the 'slave mentality' inherited by Congress from colonial rule and called for rejecting any divisive actions or thoughts weakening the nation.
The National Unity Day parade featured women officers leading contingents from police and paramilitary forces, showcasing the diversity and strength of India's security apparatus. Highlights included a spectacular air show by the Surya Kiran team, motorcycle stunts, and ten tableaux reinforcing unity in diversity.
