In a stinging critique, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh accused the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) of defaming Bihar, asserting that the state faces a choice: a return to the notorious 'jungle raj' or sustaining its developmental trajectory.
Addressing an election rally in Darbhanga, Singh lambasted RJD for pledging unrealistic government jobs and emphasized that the BJP would fulfill every promise in its soon-to-be-released manifesto. He defended Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, highlighting his clean governance record, unlike the scandal-hit family of a former chief minister.
Singh further ridiculed opposition claims about reversing Waqf Act amendments and boasted about the ₹15 lakh crore allocated for Bihar’s development by the Modi government, crediting PM Modi with strengthening the OBC commission.
