Election Commission Prepares for Phase Two of Intensive Electoral Roll Revision in 12 Regions
The Election Commission is set to conduct the second phase of the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in 12 states and Union territories from November to February. Rajasthan's exercise, among others, is scheduled to begin on October 28 and end with the publication of the final electoral roll on February 7, 2026.

The Election Commission has announced the second phase of the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, set to occur from November to February in 12 states and Union territories. Rajasthan will initiate its process on October 28, with the final electoral roll ready by February 7, 2026, according to Chief Electoral Officer Naveen Mahajan.
As part of the schedule, training and distribution of enumeration forms will start on October 28, followed by a comprehensive door-to-door enumeration phase. The draft voter list is expected to be released on December 9, with a window for claims and objections open until January 8, 2026.
In Uttar Pradesh, this revision marks the first in 22 years and aims to enhance electoral roll accuracy and inclusivity. The state prepares for the exercise with approximately 15.44 crore voters and over 1.62 lakh polling stations, CEO Navdeep Rinwa stated.
