Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a virtual address during the Rozgar Mela, praised the transformative impact of the recent Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms on India's economy. Modi pointed out that these reforms are propelling growth in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector and retail trade, creating vital job opportunities.
The Prime Minister noted record-breaking sales during the Dhanteras and Diwali festivals, stressing that the GST reforms have rejuvenated India's economic landscape. Highlighting the surge in employment within manufacturing, logistics, packaging, and distribution sectors, Modi shared that India has inked agreements with numerous countries to support the evolution of Startups and MSMEs.
Modi further emphasized the significance of India's youthful demographic, asserting that the government is channeling policies to harness their potential. He referred to recent collaborations with the UK and European nations to stimulate investment in AI, fintech, and clean energy, projecting that such international alliances will pave the way for diverse global projects accessible to Indian youth.
