Passing of DMK Legislator K Ponnusamy Leaves Senthamangalam Constituency Vacant
DMK MLA K Ponnusamy from the Senthamangalam constituency passed away at 74 due to cardiac arrest. He previously served from 2006-2011 and recently won in 2021. A by-election will be held to fill the vacant seat. His passing was mourned by many, including DMK MP Kanimozhi.

DMK legislator K Ponnusamy from Senthamangalam constituency passed away due to cardiac arrest, as confirmed by party sources on Thursday.
At age 74, the ruling party MLA had been admitted to a hospital after experiencing discomfort. He breathed his last on Thursday, leaving a vacant legislative seat.
Ponnusamy's tenure included prior service as an MLA from 2006 to 2011. An electoral race will soon determine his successor. DMK MP Kanimozhi expressed deep condolences over his passing, extending sympathies to his family.
