President Trump expressed optimism following the call, describing the India-US partnership as ‘great’ and suggesting that discussions on ‘great deals’ were underway. Meanwhile, Modi expressed gratitude towards Trump for his Diwali wishes, reiterating their united stance against terrorism worldwide.
The dialogue also touched upon India's purchase of Russian crude oil. President Trump claimed that India would reduce its oil imports from Russia, a statement New Delhi did not immediately address. Meanwhile, ongoing efforts to resolve trade and diplomatic issues continue, underscoring the significance of the India-US alliance.
