In a decisive address at the 41st Raising Day of the National Security Guard (NSG), Union Home Minister Amit Shah emphasized the central government's commitment to countering terrorism through a series of strategic actions and legislative amendments.
Highlighting key measures, Shah pointed out amendments to the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and the introduction of three new criminal laws that define terrorism explicitly for the first time. These steps, Shah asserted, contribute to India's robust zero-tolerance policy, guided by Prime Minister Modi's leadership.
Shah further reported the banning of entities like the Popular Front of India and the implementation of advanced investigative techniques to curb terror financing. He also cited significant actions such as the surgical strikes and Operation Sindoor, underscoring their impact on destabilizing terrorist activities.
