The Allahabad High Court is reviewing a bail application related to an Iftar party on the Ganga river. The event, held during Ramzan, involved consuming non-vegetarian food and is alleged to have polluted the river with food waste.
Justice Vivek Verma passed the order in response to the accused's bail applications. A related case had previously been scheduled for April 27, prompting the court to align dates for these proceedings as well.
Organizers, including a person named Danish, allegedly posted a video of the event on social media. This led to an FIR at Kotwali police station in Varanasi and their subsequent arrest.
