A 62-year-old man, Tahir Fazal, known as 'Bahadur-e-Hill Kaka', was honored at his funeral by locals in the Poonch-Rajouri sector of Jammu and Kashmir for his brave fight against militants.
Fazal, who once worked in Saudi Arabia, returned to his native Hill Kaka to avenge his brother's killing by militant forces. He rallied his community to reclaim their land, leading to the successful Operation Sarp Vinash with the Indian Army.
His leadership and courage, recognized by both the Indian Army and local officials, brought peace to the region, and his legacy continues to inspire many in the Pir Panjal belt.
