A social media influencer was arrested in Mumbai's Vakola area for allegedly making derogatory remarks about a Hindu religious leader, police reported on Friday.

The accused, known as Abu Jabir Hussain Gayasuddin Talukdar or Javed, allegedly mocked Swami Rambhadracharya in videos posted on his Instagram page.

Following a complaint by Bajrang Dal activist Ajit Yadav, an FIR was filed, and Talukdar was charged under section 299 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita after being arrested at his Oshiwara home on Thursday night.
