A major shake-up occurred in the Trade and Taxes department after Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta discovered severe irregularities during a surprise visit on April 8, according to a government statement released Friday.
In response, 162 officials, including three assistant commissioners, have been transferred. The Services Department issued separate transfer orders for varying ranks on Thursday.
Among those transferred are assistant commissioners Sunita, Manoj Kumar, and Surender Singh. The chief minister has emphasized that transparency and accountability are paramount, leaving no room for corruption, as these officials had been stationed at the same place for an extended period.
