The lifeless body of a 25-year-old woman was discovered in the Jamuniya river in Bokaro, Jharkhand, local authorities reported on Thursday.
Discovered concealed inside a plastic sack near Taranga Ghat, the body caused immediate concern among locals who promptly notified the police. Upon arrival, officials from the Chandrapura police station confirmed the woman's tragic demise.
The unidentified woman, whose face was badly disfigured, was adorned with a mangalsutra and earrings, suggesting possible motives behind the crime. The body has been transported to Bokaro Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Officers have registered a murder case against unknown individuals as the investigation ensues.
