The magistrate, Deepika Thakaran, granted the police four days of custodial interrogation to further probe into the heinous act. The accused, with his face obscured, confessed to making a 'mistake' and a 'crime' during a crowded courtroom session.
Authorities suggest that Meena sexually assaulted the young graduate before attempting to rob her using her fingerprints. With links to a similar case in Alwar, investigators are diligently working to reconstruct the events leading up to the tragic incident.
