Escalating Tensions: A Grim Chronology of Gaza Strikes
Israeli airstrikes in Gaza have resulted in the deaths of at least four Palestinians, including a rescue worker. Strikes primarily targeted militants but affected civilians, exacerbating tensions since a ceasefire. Health officials report numerous casualties as both sides accuse each other of truce violations without an enforcement mechanism.
Israeli airstrikes on Thursday killed at least four Palestinians in Gaza, according to health officials. Among the deceased, three died in a strike on a Palestinian refugee camp in the Deir al Balah area. This attack, which included a rescue worker among the fatalities, followed a southern Gaza strike where Israeli military claimed it targeted militants transporting munitions.
The ongoing attacks have intensified despite a U.S.-brokered ceasefire since October, a document both Israel and Hamas have accused each other of violating. With no established enforcement mechanism, clashes continue and casualties rise, eroding hopes for peace as more than 780 Palestinians and four Israeli soldiers are reported killed in the violence.
At Gaza City's Al Shifa Hospital, grieving families gather to mourn victims, including children, killed in recent strikes. Mohammed Baalousha, a relative of a victim, expressed despair over the lack of safety and the collapse of the truce, amplifying the grim reality for residents under constant threat.
