In a significant development, Punjab Police are preparing to re-arrest 'Waris Punjab De' chief Amritpal Singh after his NSA detention ends, according to officials on Wednesday.
Singh, currently held in Assam's Dibrugarh Central Jail, has been incarcerated due to his links to the Ajnala police station attack in February 2023. The arrest is set for Thursday, following authorization from the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
Considerable legal processes and serious charges, including attempted murder and criminal conspiracy, are linked to this case, implicating a total of 41 individuals along with Singh, an independent MP.
