Chinese Student Arrested for Photographing US Military Aircraft

A Chinese college student named Tianrui Liang was detained on charges of capturing unauthorized photographs of U.S. military aircraft. The incident occurred during a multistate road trip, which included stops at notable Air Force bases.
Liang, aged 21, was apprehended by authorities on April 7 at a New York airport. He was trying to fly to Glasgow, Scotland, where he is currently enrolled in school.
Despite the legal risks, Liang admitted to the FBI that he took pictures of an RC-135 and an E-4B, a specially equipped aircraft for emergencies, asserting that the photos were for his personal collection.
