The Chief Justice of India, Surya Kant, has scheduled a significant visit to Sikkim on May 1 and 2 to partake in the National Conference on Technology and Judicial Education. An official statement confirmed that the event, organized by the High Court of Sikkim, will gather judges from the Supreme Court and various high courts in Gangtok.
A preparatory meeting spearheaded by Chief Secretary R Telang took place at the state secretariat on Monday. The discussion focused on arrangements concerning protocol, security, transportation, accommodation, and venue setup, aiming to ensure a seamless visit by the CJI and other prestigious attendees.
Officials underscored the necessity of flawless coordination between departments, acknowledging the prominent status of the visiting dignitaries. The collaborative efforts are geared towards facilitating a successful conference, highlighting advancements in technology and judicial education.
