In a resounding victory, the Tipra Motha Party, founded by Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma, swept the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections, securing 24 of the 28 seats on offer, leaving the ruling BJP with just four.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma was among the first to congratulate the party on their landslide win, emphasizing that the triumph bolsters the shared vision for a united North East India.
The elections, pivotal for the governance of nearly two-thirds of Tripura's area, highlight the growing influence of the Tipra Motha Party and their call for a 'Greater Tipraland'.
