Authorities are investigating allegations of religious conversion and sexual harassment at Tata Consultancy Services' Nashik branch. This follows the arrest of eight employees, among which are seven men accused of operating like a gang targeting female coworkers.
Senior officials reported discouragement of complaints within the company, potentially exacerbating the situation. Tata Sons chairman has stated a thorough investigation is being conducted by the company's Chief Operating Officer.
Nine cases have been registered so far, with various authorities involved in the investigation. The Nashik court has remanded one female operations manager in custody, while police are coordinating with national agencies to explore broader implications.
