Leaders Demand Urgent Action After Devastating Slum Fire in Lucknow

A devastating fire engulfed a slum cluster in Lucknow's Vikas Nagar area, destroying approximately 200 shanties, according to local officials.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who represents the Lucknow Lok Sabha constituency, has prompted local authorities to expedite rescue efforts. He ensured that affected families receive necessary aid and medical attention, as communicated by BJP Lucknow City president Anand Dwivedi.
Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav called for immediate state assistance, urging the provision of food, water, and housing for the displaced. Yadav also demanded a high-level inquiry into the fire's cause and the status of missing persons.
