Kashmiri Pandits Rally for Relief Increase Amid Inflation Strain

In Jammu, Kashmiri Pandits rallied on Wednesday, demanding a doubled monthly relief cap, currently at Rs 13,000 per family, which they argue is insufficient amid climbing inflation.
Ravinder Koul, leading the protests at the Press Club Jammu, expressed frustration over the stagnant relief structure. He appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for immediate action to address their plight.
Koul highlighted misconceptions about the community’s financial status, emphasizing the need for a proper survey to assess their conditions and urged a realistic economic rehabilitation package.
