Rajya Sabha member Kapil Sibal has launched serious allegations against the BJP, claiming election malpractice involving dual voter registrations in West Bengal and Bihar. Sibal's remarks come soon after Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee accused BJP of manipulating voter rolls.
In a recent press conference, Sibal presented evidence of five voters listed in both states, questioning the integrity of the electoral process. He cited attempts by BJP to illegitimately bolster their voter base.
The controversy stirred by these claims adds pressure on the Election Commission as West Bengal prepares for its upcoming elections. Sibal continues to press for accountability and transparency ahead of the April and May voting dates.
