Two suspects were arrested in connection with the stray-bullet killing of a 7-month-old baby, Kaori Patterson-Moore, in Brooklyn. Greene has pleaded not guilty to murder charges.
A second suspect in the tragic stray-bullet death of 7-month-old Kaori Patterson-Moore has been arrested, New York police announced Friday. The apprehension comes two days after the shocking incident that left the city reeling.
Matthew Rodriguez, 18, was captured in Pennsylvania by New York Police Department detectives alongside US Marshals. Amuri Greene, 21, the suspected shooter, was previously arrested after the drive-by shooting on a Brooklyn street. He pleaded not guilty to murder and related charges during Friday's arraignment.
The infant was killed when shots were fired from a moped. Greene allegedly targeted an individual in the crowd, but Kaori was tragically in the line of fire. Both Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch expressed deep sorrow, describing the event as 'a tragedy that truly shocks the conscience.'
