In a brazen daytime heist, a group of armed men targeted a jewellery shop in Darbhanga, Bihar, on Friday, making off with jewellery worth approximately Rs 2 crore and around Rs 25 lakh in cash.
The incident occurred in the bustling Bara Bazaar area, where four masked men reportedly stormed the shop, as per the shop owner Manoj Thakur. Local shopkeepers allege that six individuals were involved in the raid, with some acting as lookouts.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Manoj Tiwari confirmed that CCTV footage is being scrutinized as part of the ongoing investigation, and a case has been filed to bring the culprits to justice.
