Kerala's Home Voting Revolution: Empowering Seniors and PwDs
In Kerala, nearly two lakh senior citizens and persons with disabilities have voted from home ahead of Assembly elections. The initiative aims to facilitate easy voting for those unable to visit polling stations. 2,468 teams were deployed to assist these absentee voters, marking a significant inclusivity effort by the Election Commission.

In a groundbreaking initiative, nearly two lakh senior citizens and persons with disabilities in Kerala have been able to cast their votes from home as part of the upcoming Assembly elections.
This effort, facilitated by the Election Commission, began on Monday and has already enabled 1,28,381 seniors and 55,406 PwDs to exercise their democratic right conveniently and safely.
A total of 2,468 teams have been deployed to ensure that the process runs smoothly for the absentee voters, providing a remarkable boost in electoral accessibility and inclusivity, with the main elections scheduled for April 9.
