In a call to action, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi encouraged citizens to actively engage in the upcoming Census, slated to begin on April 16. Highlighting the pivotal role of the Census, Majhi stressed the importance of public participation in an official video address.
The initial phase of the exercise, involving house listing and housing census, will be conducted from April 16 to May 15 across all 30 districts of Odisha. Trained enumerators and supervisors are set to visit households to collect essential data during this period.
The chief minister urged citizens to partake in the self-enumeration process via the online portal, stressing its importance for the development of state and national programs. He noted that the self-enumeration phase has been underway since April 1 and will continue until April 15.
