Mizoram Leads the Way with Digital Census 2027 Kickoff

Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma launched the state’s self-enumeration process for Census 2027 on Wednesday, as reported by an official. This marks a significant step forward in digital data collection, enabling individuals to submit their information through an online census portal.

The Chief Minister completed the procedure at his official residence using the newly introduced system, with support from the Aizawl Municipal Corporation (AMC), the General Administration Department, and the Directorate of Census Operations. Home Minister K Sapdanga and PWD Minister Vanlalhlana also participated in the process, emphasizing the government’s commitment to digital transition.

Census 2027 represents India’s 16th Census and introduces self-enumeration, allowing people to enter their data online securely in 16 languages before the door-to-door survey period. In Mizoram, this portal will remain accessible for digital submissions from April 1 to April 15.
