Imran Khan Criticizes Judiciary from Jail: Claims of Justice Denied

Imran Khan, Pakistan's former Prime Minister, has condemned the judiciary from his jail cell, accusing judges of compromising their integrity for personal privileges. Khan, serving time in Rawalpindi's high-security Adiala Jail since August 2023, made these allegations during an Eid phone call with his sons, which was subsequently shared on social media.

The 73-year-old ex-leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party criticized the judiciary for failing to deliver justice for him and his wife, Bushra Bibi. He claims that such actions are not only inhumane but also against Islamic principles, highlighting his wife's isolation and restricted visitation rights as forms of coercion and blackmail.

Khan's critique extends to the powerful military establishment, hinting at their role in his current predicament. Convicted in January 2025 in the Al-Qadir Trust corruption case, both he and his wife received lengthy prison sentences. The situation is further complicated by government restrictions on family visits and legal consultations, leading to international dialogues regarding his sons' travel limitations.
