ATS Uncovers Major Mephedrone Manufacturing Unit in UP Farm

Two individuals were arrested, and substantial quantities of mephedrone were seized. The operation highlights ongoing efforts to combat illegal drug manufacturing and distribution in India.

The Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS), alongside the Uttar Pradesh police, has dismantled a significant mephedrone production operation at a farm in Ambedkar Nagar district, officials confirmed Wednesday.
Authorities confiscated 6 kg of mephedrone, 50 kg of its liquid form, and 88 kg of an essential ingredient for producing the illicit drug.
The arrested suspects, Kapildev Sharma and Ramshankar, alias Pankaj Parshuram, have been remanded for 12 days. This bust is part of a larger crackdown on narcotic production.
