In a decisive crackdown on illegal activities, Bengaluru Police have seized 155 LPG cylinders improperly stored at a local godown. The operation, conducted within the jurisdiction of Talaghattapura police station, stemmed from a complaint lodged by the Food Inspector of Bengaluru South Taluk, targeting a gas agency in Vishweshwaraiah Industrial Layout.
The complaint accused the agency owner of illegally storing BPCL cylinders, prompting law enforcement to act. Officers recovered 148 empty and 7 filled 19 kg cylinders, seizing them under the Essential Commodities Act. The operation highlights the city's ongoing battle against unauthorized storage practices that compromise safety and regulation.
The investigation is ongoing, with authorities keen to crack down further on such violations. This seizure is part of broader efforts to enforce compliance and uphold public safety standards in gas distribution.
