China has reiterated its commitment to mediating peace in the Middle East, with Foreign Minister Wang Yi advocating for a ceasefire and cessation of hostilities in the region.
During a meeting in Beijing on Wednesday, Wang addressed UAE presidential special envoy to China, Khaldoon Al Mubarak, emphasizing that the ongoing war should never have occurred and needs to end.
The foreign minister assured continued Chinese support for the UAE in preserving its sovereignty and ensuring its security, according to an official statement released by the foreign ministry.
