A daring burglary in Kavadgaon village, Beed district has left residents shaken after a gang of armed dacoits stormed two houses, stealing goods valued at over Rs 2.16 lakh. This marks the fourth significant heist in the past four months.
The gang, comprised of four to five men, raided the homes of Siddiq Shaikh and Yuvraj Kale. They intimidated the residents, threatening them with violence. A young villager who attempted to resist the burglars was viciously attacked with an iron rod, leaving him with serious injuries.
Police have initiated a search operation in response to the attack. However, the absence of CCTV cameras in the village presents a challenge to the investigation. In light of these events, local citizens and the Gram Panchayat are urging authorities to install security cameras at strategic locations to prevent further crimes.
