Hospital Shooting Linked to Love Affair Sparks Outrage
A man named Vedpal was critically injured after being shot by two assailants in a hospital amid tensions related to his relationship with a girl from Mathura. The girl's family opposed their union, leading to a violent confrontation. One arrest has been made, and police are pursuing the shooters.

An incident of violent unrest has unfolded in Aligarh as two armed individuals allegedly entered a hospital and shot Vedpal, who was receiving treatment for previous injuries, leaving him critically injured.
The Aligarh Senior Superintendent of Police, Neeraj Kumar Jadaun, confirmed that the victim, a resident of Khair, had previously faced opposition from his girlfriend’s family regarding their relationship. Despite their objections and arranging her marriage elsewhere, Vedpal attempted to maintain contact with her.
Following Vedpal's attempts to meet the girl's family, he was beaten and hospitalized for his injuries. Police have arrested the girl's father, a police constable, and have identified and are pursuing her brother and another accomplice, both implicated in the attack.
