In a tragic incident in east Delhi's Dallupura, a 28-year-old man, identified as Pawan Kumar, suffered a fatal gunshot wound while his cousin recorded the event. The video, now viral, shows Kumar loading a pistol and accidentally discharging it, inflicting a wound to his chest.
The unfortunate event came to police attention when the New Ashok Nagar station received information about a gunshot injury from Dharamshila Hospital. Officials confirmed that Kumar, despite medical efforts, was declared dead. His cousin, Himanshu, recorded the incident, seemingly unaware of Kumar's intent.
The police have seized the weapon, which belonged to Himanshu, and gathered evidence including the recording device. A case under culpable homicide and the Arms Act has been registered, with further inquiries currently underway.
