The Brooklyn District Attorney's office, led by Eric Gonzalez, acknowledged the wrongful conviction stemming from insufficient analysis of evidence and has since taken steps to rectify the situation.
Focused on rebuilding his life, Windley expressed no bitterness as he left the courtroom, emphasizing a desire to move forward with his family after such a protracted battle for justice.
