Taiwan and U.S. Weapons: Untouched by Middle East Turmoil

Taiwan has confirmed that it has not been contacted by the United States regarding the potential transfer of military equipment to the Middle East.
This follows statements from South Korea about possible redeployment of U.S. Patriot missile systems currently stationed in South Korea. Defense Minister Wellington Koo stated that any such move would only occur at the U.S.'s request, and the U.S. would handle transportation.
Currently, Taiwan, a key U.S. arms recipient, is under growing military pressure from China, which asserts territorial claims over the island. Meanwhile, media reports suggest that preparations for redeployment of U.S. defense systems to the Middle East are underway.
